Shaken, not stirred

Did you guys ever notice, the tiny pin that David Letterman dones on his blazer bears shape of Australia? You know before the show goes for commercial breaks, it enters this frame that lasts for about 5 seconds, and there stands David with the pin nicely secured on the left side of his blazer. Was that a cheap ad for Visit Australia or something? I don't know.

So, the missing car key issue has been resolved. It's official, I'll never see it again. I'd have to fork out quite a hefty sum of money to get it made and the car reprogrammed. Pish no biggie. *smirks* No, not really. This is definitely gonna burn a hole in my pocket.

Tomorrow is Earth, Wind and Fire's concert at Sunway. Received a text that basically read, "Like it or not, show up. The whole team is going". Are you kidding me? I LOVE EWF! Why would I not want to go? The perks of working in events I tell ya.

Speaking of work, our first press conference was an easy street. Alhamdulillah. Apart from some minor setbacks, it went pretty well in the end. I wish the media were more enthusiastic though, but ah well. As long as there are write-ups, it's all gooood.

Above is the power team and our opening act for the concert, the talented Najwa Mahiaddin, standing third from right.We're quite the cute bunch if you get to know us. Haha, yeah. Hmm.

Careless

Yaya, move your car. I wanna park inside. I dug deep into my handbag but couldn't feel the keys. I frantically continued digging before pouring out the contents of my bag onto the ground. No keys. Went inside to look in my luggage. Still no keys. Called my cousin to check if I might have left them in his car. No answer. Argghh! Called the hotel where we stayed. No keys. Ransacked my room in case they dropped from my bag, or hand, or whatever. No keys.

Where in the world are they??!!!!

We had to all push the car to the side of the house because it was blocking the driveway. The spare key that I have can only unlock the doors but it won't start the car because it doesn't have the control button thing ahhh I don't know what it's called.

My dad said it would cost my month's pay to get it made, the transponder key. I would have to order and wait 3 weeks before it gets shipped from France or Germany, or some European country wherever that dumb car was made at.

Can someone who knows an alternative way help me with this? Somewhere local where I can get it done?

A&W PJ

After going back and forth a few hundered times with "Where to eat la baby", we decided to head to A&W, PJ. Initially, we drove to Murni but you know how the place is like, packed sampai Maybank hujung jalan so... no thanks. Upon arrival, I headed straight to the loo because I have a bad bladder. Much to my dismay, the ladies' smelt of dead animals and dried pee. It was utterly disgusting. So much so that the urge to pee instantly disappeared.





On my serang-hendap mode, I managed to snap these pictures while I was there. Excuses for the above situations include;

Sigh.. You need an attitude check la, kakak. If you don't do it now, that just leaves you with more to do, agree? If tak cukup staff, kat luar tu ada 2 staff tengah bual bual kosong boleh mintak tolong diorang, betul? There are so many ways to tackle it but you chose to not think and have fussy nutjobs like me complain. I'm sorry if I annoyed you with my questions but it annoys me to see your sampah sarap scattered on the floor.

God knows how the kitchen looks like.

I don't blame the staffs entirely but with all due respect, do your job man. The condition of this place is deteriorating, especially hygiene-wise and it saddens me.

As for the rest of you people, do your part. Dispose your rubbish wisely, or at least put them on your tray so kasi senang kerja diorang. Flush the toilet before you leave the stall and pull only enough toilet paper for your use, no need to decorate the floor. Be civilized and apply this to everywhere you go. It won't kill you, I promise.

Fish burger review

I came across the idea in my car making my way home whilst munching gracefully (to decrease slob factor by passing vehicles) on a BK Big Fish. Sedap betul burger ikan Burger King ni, said I to the medium sized fries on my lap. You, on the other hand buddy, need more salt, I continued saying to the fries before popping one into my mouth. No reply. I guess they agree. And then I started making comparisons between all the fish burgers that I've had the pleasure of eating. Hungry Jack's- pretty awesome as they're Australia's version of BK; McD- too dry, most of the time overcooked (in Malaysia that is); A&W- too bloody small, patties are inconsistent in size; KFC- rather tasteless. These are from the big companies la, not including burger tepi jalan and all (do they even make fish burgers? I only buy 'banjo cheese' (egg & cheese) from them. Hmmmm.. cheesy banjossssss. Nyummer)

In conclusion; Plenty of lettuce and extra mayo goes a loooooong way.

Congrats ladies and gentlemen. Our concert has gone live. It's out there. It's a product of your hard work. I hope you guys are proud of it. Now, let's take it to the finish line. Much appreciation and thanks.

Not an avid fan of RnB and Hip Hop in general myself, never have I ever imagined that I would be working on a concert such as this, or working with a hip hop based company altogether. But this IS my periuk nasik so I am excited that it is set to happen. Watching the unofficial promo kick off gave me a sense of satisfaction. Soon, more will come. The late nights and (sometimes) early mornings are well worth it.

We are not limited to only bringing international hip-hop acts so help me make this work so that it gives us a stable enough platform to be able to bring who you want to see (and who I WANT to see!). I hope everything goes as planned. InsyaAllah.
